Oris Aquis Date 39.5 mm

One of the most recognisable watches produced by Oris, the Aquis Date is now available also in a smaller 39.5 mm version, designed as a more practical and versatile alternative to the 43.5 mm model.

The stainless steel case is water-resistant to 30 bar (300 metres / 990 feet) and is equipped with a robust uni-directional rotating diver’s bezel for safely measuring dive times which is enhanced by a polished or matt black ceramic insert.

Protected by a sapphire crystal with inside anti-reflecting coating, the dial is available in three variations: black matt, black polished, and blue.

The hands and applied hour markers are filled with luminous Super-LumiNova, as is the ‘lollipop’ feature on the central seconds hand, very important for a diver’s watch which must clearly display the running of the watch so a diver knows the watch is keeping regular time during a dive.

Oris has made the new models available on a variety of straps, including dark brown leather and black rubber, and metal bracelets.

Inside the new models is the Oris Calibre 733 (based on the Sellita SW200-1), an automatic mechanical movement with date indication at 6 o’clock which beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers 38 hours of power reserve.

The new Oris Aquis Date 39.5 mm has a price of Swiss Francs 1,750 / Euro 1,600 on a strap or Swiss Francs 1,950 / Euro 1,800 on the stainless steel bracelet with extension. oris.ch
