Louis Erard - Excellence Regulator Guilloché

Based in Le Noirmont in the Swiss canton of Jura, Louis Erard produces watches that reflect great respect for the craftsmanship in the finest Swiss tradition while remaining affordable.

The Regulator model, part of the Excellence collection, offers a clear example of this philosophy combining a classic regulator display with a quality ETA Peseux 7001 hand-wound movement enhanced by an in-house developed module for the complication.

The brand has recently presented a new version of the Excellence Regulator featuring a silver dial decorated with a guilloché pattern which emphasises the classic look of the watch.

The central position on the dial is occupied by the long blued minute hand while above and below are the smaller hour and seconds displays. The power reserve display at 9 o’clock is visually balanced by the Louis Erard logo at 3 o’clock.

Crafted from polished stainless steel, the case has a diameter of 40 mm and is water resistant to 50 metres / 165 feet. The sapphire glass protecting the dial has an anti-reflective treatment on both sides.

Beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offering 42 hours of power reserve, the ETA Peseux 7001 movement is appreciated for its reliability combined to a slim and nice architecture.

Matched to a black leather strap with folding clasp or, optionally to a stainless steel bracelet, the Louis Erard Excellence Regulator is also available with a black or a white dial without guilloché decoration. The retail price is Euro 2,150. montres-louiserard.ch
