Eberhard Scafograf GMT “Black Sheep”

After the success of the Scafograf 300, first presented in 2016 and winner of the ‘Sports Watch Prize’ at the prestigious Geneva Grand Prix d’Horlogerie, followed by last year’s GMT version, Eberhard & Co. is presenting a special limited edition, the Scafograf GMT “Black Sheep”. Its nickname suggests the unconventional spirit of the new model which will appeal those who like to differentiate themselves.

The 43 mm x 11.80 mm stainless steel case received a black DLC treatment which enhances the sporty look of the timepiece. Black is also the two-way rotating bezel with ceramic insert, 24h scale and luminescent mark at 12 o’clock.

And black dominates the dial where the baton-type hands and applied indices are coated with black luminescent material for readability in the dark. A touch of colour comes from the orange of the GMT hand and GMT lettering, clearly standing out against the dial. The convex sapphire crystal received an anti-reflective treatment on the inner surface.

The “Black Sheep” is powered by the highly reliable ETA 2893-2 calibre, a self-winding movement with ball bearing which beats at 4 Hz (28,800 vph) and guarantees a power reserve of 42 hours.

The triple time zone function is operated via the position of the bezel and the central GMT hand.

The steel caseback is screwed and personalised with an engraved hemisphere with time zones, the name of the model and individual numbering of the timepiece.

Water resistant to 100 metres / 330 feet, the watch comes with a black rubber integrated strap with the ‘E’ coat of arms, the emblem of the Maison. A DLC-treated steel bracelet completed by a deployment clasp is optionally available.

The Eberhard Scafograf GMT “Black Sheep” (ref. 41040) will be produced in a limited edition of 500 pieces. eberhard-co-watches.ch
