Bremont RNLI 200th Anniversary Limited Series

Bremont presents a series of three timepieces in celebration of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution’s (RNLI) upcoming 200th anniversary. Limited to only 200 pieces each, the series commemorates this significant milestone and the vital work the charity accomplishes in saving lives at sea around the UK and Ireland.

Founded on 4th March 1824, the RNLI stands as a beacon of hope, providing a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service in the UK and Ireland and seasonal lifeguard services across the UK and Channel Islands. From stormy nights to treacherous waters, they are there, pushing boundaries to save lives. Over its storied history, the RNLI has saved over 143,000 lives, earning a reputation as a vital force in maritime safety. When others step back, they step forward.

The partnership between Bremont and the RNLI recognises two centuries of unwavering dedication to saving lives at sea through the creation of a bespoke limited edition watch range. Each of the three timepieces incorporate subtle design details that nod to the RNLI, including its founding year of 1824 which is featured on the dial of each timepiece along with the poignant words of RNLI Founder Sir William Hillary “With courage, nothing is impossible” engraved on the respective case backs.

The RNLI S500 and RNLI S300 are based on Bremont’s popular Supermarine models, built and designed for those who dare to explore the depths. The high-performance dive watches feature bold blue unidirectional ceramic bezels and metal dials with orange and white accents inspired by the RNLI’s boat livery and volunteers’ kit. Applied indexes and hands are enhanced with Super-LumiNova™ and the bespoke seconds hand features an orange framed tip to further optimise legibility. The dial features a date window at 3 o’clock and ‘RNLI’ printed at 6 o’clock clock above the anniversary dates of 1824 - 2024. Turning the watch over reveals a decorated case back with the RNLI logo and motto.

The 43mm S500 boasts 500m water resistance, a helium escape valve, 38-hour power reserve and antishock movement mount to protect against significant shocks and jolts whilst the 40mm S300 model comes with 300m water resistance, 38-hour power reserve and is housed within a slightly slimmer profile case than that of the S500. Both Bremont RNLI S500 and S300 models are available with a blue or ‘lifeboat’ orange rubber strap or a steel bracelet.

The elegant RNLI Solo 34 completes the trio coming in a polished steel 34mm case with a 42-hour power reserve. The timeless metallic blue dial and applied index markers are enhanced by a bespoke seconds hand with an orange tip and a date window that sits at 6 o’clock under the RNLI logo and anniversary dates. This model is paired with an embossed navy leather strap or a steel bracelet.

Bremont is honoured to join hands with the RNLI to commemorate its landmark anniversary in 2024, to pay homage to such an incredible legacy and to create a unique series of watches that not only serve to remind of this important work but also give back to its cause. Since inception Bremont has consistently pushed boundaries, spurred on by the pioneering spirit on which the brand was founded. Bremont’s tagline of “Take It Further” is aptly embodied and epitomised by the work that the RNLI does, an iconic British institution with extraordinary people who selflessly dedicate themselves to saving the lives of others at sea.
