Baselworld 2018: Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical 38 mm

Inspired to military watches, the Khaki Field is one of the most widely produced and worn watches in the Hamilton collection.

In 2018, Hamilton is launching the Khaki Field Mechanical 38 mm, a new edition sporting a bold design true to the original 1969 "Hack" watch, one of Hamilton's last officially commissioned military watches. The “Hack” nickname came from the ability to stop the seconds hand in order to sync the watch with a reference time.

The new model features a robust 38 mm stainless steel case with a sandblasted finish to eliminate reflections that might be detrimental to the watch’s legibility.

Protected by a sapphire crystal, the three-hand matt dial with "old radium" style Super-LumiNova hands offers excellent legibility and comes in two variations: black (ref. H69429931) or brown (ref. H69429901). Both are matched to NATO straps with brown calfskin loops: green for the black dial or a desert-sand colour for the brown dial.

The watch is powered by the hand-wound ETA 2801-2 movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a power reserve of 42 hours.

Water resistant to 50 metres / 165 feet, the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical 38 mm has a price of Euro 420 / US$ 475. hamiltonwatch.com
