Atelier de Chronométrie AdC21 Only Watch

The Atelier de Chronométrie team is delighted to present the AdC21 Only Watch, a one-off time-piece specially created and donated for the Only Watch biennial charity auction 2021 for research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy. It is not part of any collection; it is an entirely unique example which we have specially designed and handcrafted for the auction.

The AdC21 Only Watch is a time only with indirect center seconds encased in a 18k pink gold round case with stepped lugs, concave bezel and case back. The design is completed with a two-tone pink sector dial with pink gold and blued steel hands.

Making unique timepieces is one of the main axis of the vision of Atelier de Chronométrie. We have always firmly defended the idea that every watch collector deserves a one-of-a-kind piece with its own unrepeatable story providing an unforgettable experience.

This time, to have had the possibility to contribute with the creation of the AdC21 to a special event like the Only Watch charity auction, has been a great honor for us. We have all given the best of ourselves and added a bit of our human souls to make this timepiece a reality. This special project will remain in our memories forever.

A warm concept for the AdC21 Only Watch

The main concept that sustained the AdC21 Only Watch was to create a unique timepiece that symbolized the human warmth behind the Only Watch charity auction. This warmth combined with a delicate elegance has been the main axes we had in mind during the entire creation process. The whole watch (case, calibre and dial) has been specially created for the Only Watch auction.

True to this concept, we designed a new case using the warmest material that perfectly matches this timepiece; 18k pink gold. The stepped shape of the lugs and the concave bezel and case back give a delicate touch to the overall design that is completed by a timeless two-tone pink sector dial with leaf pink gold and blued steel hands. The result is a noticeable “pink on pink” look.

The aesthetics of this indirect center seconds calibre is characterized by the beauty of the 18k pink gold-plated tone of the bridges combined with silver accents of the rhodium plated wheels and other parts. A rich mixture of high-end traditional finishes like handmade frosting, anglage, perlage, étirage des flancs, colimaçonage, polished countersinks, black polish and polished teeth make this timepiece unique.
