Continuing the success of Sotheby's new Watches Weekly online auction format, the second in the series presents a very fine arrangement of both traditional and modern Patek Philippe wristwatches. On offer is a superb selection of contemporary sports models including a very rare and beautiful anniversary model, reference 5105, and a highly collectible Nautilus, reference 5711P with “Blue Jeans Dial”. A curation for collectors of all styles and occasions.

LOT 20. PATEK PHILIPPE | NAUTILUS, REFERENCE 5980, A BRAND NEW STAINLESS STEEL FLYBACK CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH WITH DATE AND BRACELET, CIRCA 2009. Estimate: 400,000 - 650,000 HKD

Marking the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus, Patek Philippe introduced the reference 5980 in 2006. Being the first chronograph Nautilus, the reference 5980 is an important timepiece for Patek Philippe stepping forward into the concept of luxury chronograph sports watches. Equipped with the brand’s first in-house chronograph movement calibre CH 28-250, the pushers display flawlessly at the band, matching perfectly with the octagonal case. Robust yet sleek, the reference 5980 is considered a modern classic today.

Reference 5712 epitomizes its masculine elegance and timeless design. This present watch, featuring the distinctive porthole-inspired case and ribbed dial, is one of the most sought-after modern sport watches today. The present lot is still in its original factory seal, which has become partially opened at the top, however the watch is brand new and has never been used before.

LOT 23. PATEK PHILIPPE | NAUTILUS, REFERENCE 5726, A BRAND NEW STAINLESS STEEL ANNUAL CALENDAR WRISTWATCH WITH MOON PHASES, 24 HOUR INDICATION AND BRACELET, CIRCA 2018. Estimate: 550,000 - 800,000 HKD

The Patek Philippe reference 5726 is not only a very attractive looking Nautilus, it also marked the first time that the manufacturer had styled an annual calendar complication in a stainless steel case. With a highly legible dial composition, and attractive color fitted with a stylish sporty case this watch is versatile for all occasions. The present watch is in brand new condition and has never been worn before.

LOT 24. PATEK PHILIPPE | NAUTILUS, REFERENCE 5711, A BRAND NEW PLATINUM WRISTWATCH WITH DATE, BLUE JEANS DIAL AND BRACELET, CIRCA 2014. Estimate: 3,000,000 - 5,000,000 HKD

50 examples were ever manufactured. At a simple glance, this 5711 may appear to be a regular steel example, however the dial is rendered with a wonderful blue jeans colour, the case is fitted with a diamond at 6 o'clock. The sheer weight is incredibly impressive and this example is in brand new condition and has not been worn before.

Being one of the most desired luxury sport watches on the market today, the Nautilus collection from Patek Philippe is not only an iconic model but also have influenced the future of all horology.

Throughout the years, collectors have identified different styles of Nautilus’ available in the market. While most are considerably accessible, there are some that are highly collectable such as the present lot.

Offered in brand new unused condition, the watch is complete with all accessories and sales tag.

LOT 29. PATEK PHILIPPE | REFERENCE 5105, A SINGLE SEALED LIMITED EDITION PLATINUM WRISTWATCH WITH MOVEMENT FROM 1959, MADE TO COMMEMORATE THE OPENING OF PATEK PHILIPPE'S SALON IN GENEVA, CIRCA 2006. Estimate: 550,000 - 850,000 HKD

Limited to only one hundred pieces, the reference 5105 was introduced along with the reference 5565 to commemorate the opening of Patek Philippe Geneva’s salon in 2006.

The present watch is fitted with an elongated rectangular case that resembles the stylish aesthetics of watches from the Art Deco period but the reference 5105 is also fitted with the movement cal. 9'''90 which was found stashed away in an old wooden box from 1959.

Available in excellent and unsealed condition, the present lot will be a rare treasure in the years to come.
