Union Glashütte Noramis Chronograph Limited Edition Sachsen Classic 2025

A masterpiece inspired by the “Great Werkmeister” racing car! It was the “Great Werkmeister” that was the source of inspiration for the sensational Union Glashütte Noramis Chronograph Limited Edition Sachsen Classic 2025. Assembled by the designer Georg Werkmeister and the body builder Georg Hufnagel in 1952, this open-top two seater automotive took to the race track of the Sachsenring in East Germany for the first time that same year.

The dial of the Chronograph echoes the circular structures on the roadster’s dashboard. The fine perlage on the watch is burnished by hand and makes each of the strictly limited models an exceptional unique piece – just like the racing car that is unparalleled in the world. Similar to the chrome-ringed vehicle displays of the “Great Werkmeister”, the watch’s totalisers also feature slightly protruding chrome rings. The red area of the vehicle’s tachometer is reflected in elements with the same colour on the dial and the chronograph hands. However, in keeping with the racing car’s aluminium body, the colour silver dominates. The black calfskin leather strap with a double seam gives the watch a sporty look. These refined designed elements, which are based on the “Great Werkmeister”, make the Noramis Chronograph Limited Edition Sachsen Classic 2025 a truly accomplished masterpiece.

Back in the 1950s, the “Great Werkmeister” took to the starting line in several Formula 2 car races, among others – and is now representing Union Glashütte in the Sachsen Classic race in 2025. Since this vintage car rally only allows the use of mechanical measuring instruments, the Noramis Chronograph Limited Edition Sachsen Classic 2025 serves not only as a stylish accessory but a useful companion. Thanks to the UNG-27.S2 ultra-modern mechanical automatic movement, this watch displays the time with extreme precision and also assists with precisely measuring short time frames.

For vintage car lovers – be they behind the wheel or watching from the sidelines – the Sachsen Classic race is always a special event. Classic cars will drive along the narrow streets and scenic landscapes of the state of Saxony in eastern Germany. This year, the race will start and finish in the state capital, Dresden.

The Noramis Chronograph Limited Edition Sachsen Classic 2025 will be limited to just 350 pieces worldwide and is apparent from the “Limitierte Edition” (Limited Edition) imprint on the dial and the engraving on the case back. This watch is available from selected specialist retailers at a price of €3600 (recommended retail price).
