In a world dominated by sharp angles and rigid geometries, where everything seems boxed in and devoid of imagination, U-BOAT, the Lucca-based brand by Italo Fontana, challenging conventions for 25 years, is "breaks down the wall" with a revolutionary collection of timepieces: the U-65.

Unveiled as a world premiere at the prestigious Geneva fair Watches & Wonders 2025, the U-65 watches stand as a true manifesto of creativity and nonconformity. Featuring an ultra-domed sapphire crystal, these timepieces command attention with a bold 44mm case, available for the moment in satin-finished 316L stainless steel.

The design incorporates movable lugs, ensuring an exceptionally comfortable and flexible fit. Detached from the case body and secured with an exclusive fastening system, the lugs provide a perfect grip, engineered to adapt to any wrist size.

The three-layer skeleton dial, exuding a strong industrial character in shades of gray or black depending on the model, is further enhanced by U-BOAT’s exclusive Oil Immersion system, already featured in the Capsoil and Darkmoon models.

A special fluid envelops the Ronda 756 movement, amplifying the perception of depth and the curvature of the glass, creating a mesmerizing 3D effect. A floating compensation bubble moves freely across the dial, interacting with the 12, 8, and 4 o’clock markers, treated with Super-LumiNova in acid green, aquamarine, and white, as well as with the marked arrow-style hour and second hands.

While staying true to the brand’s iconic design, the U-65 forgoes the traditional left-side crown, emphasizing the purity of its form. Time adjustment is managed via a discreet button located at the center of the case back, secured by the innovative Locking Ring System, which allows hour-by-hour advancement to set the desired time. Adjacent to the button, a screw-down hatch enables quick battery replacement, while another facilitates fluid refills.

The black silicone strap, soft and velvety to the touch, completes the model's futuristic design. Three versions, now in steel, do more than just tell time; they redefine it, inspiring the wearer to think out of the box. A new way to look at time: rounder, more fluid, more hypercurved. This is U-65.
