The DOXA SUB 300 Beta "Frogger"
Belmont Watches’ first limited edition pairs the first fully sandblasted case and bracelet in DOXA history with a design rooted in San Diego.
San Diego, California - Belmont Watches announces the DOXA SUB 300 Beta “Frogger,” the retailer’s first limited edition and, according to DOXA, the first watch in the company’s history with a fully sandblasted stainless steel case and matching beads-of-rice bracelet. Limited to 100 individually numbered pieces, the Frogger will be available exclusively through Belmont Watches from August 25, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. PDT for $2,890.
Created to mark Belmont’s first year as a DOXA authorized dealer, the Frogger is rooted in the retailer’s hometown of San Diego. Its name refers to the Navy frogmen and Underwater Demolition Teams that preceded today’s SEAL Teams. When the Navy formed SEAL Teams ONE and TWO in 1962 using personnel drawn from the UDTs, SEAL Team ONE was based at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado. The connection made Coronado the geographic center of a watch designed around San Diego, diving, and the quiet utility of early maritime equipment.
Built on the slimmer SUB 300 Beta, the Frogger measures 42.5 x 44.5 mm and 11.95 mm thick, with 300 meters of water resistance. The matte, grained kelp-green dial uses applied black indices with vintage-inspired, warm-toned lume and three oversized orange luminous hands. The black ceramic dual-scale bezel places the elapsed-time scale in orange, the outer depth scale in green, and adds a luminous pip to match the dial and hands. The caseback carries an engraved map of San Diego Bay centered on Coronado, with no official military insignia.
The design was shaped by private conceptual feedback from a small group of active-duty and retired members of the Naval Special Warfare and Navy EOD communities, participating in their individual capacities. Their input influenced the nonreflective sandblasted finish, kelp-green dial color and texture, reduced dial text, oversized orange hands, bezel colors, luminous elements, NATO strap, sandblasted hardware, and packaging. At their request, none are identified by name or unit.
