Sarpaneva Stardust Pluto & Mars
Stepan Sarpaneva pushes further into the void with Stardust, a new chapter in his cosmic journey. Housed in the iconic Korona case, the twin timepieces—Pluto and Mars—embody the Finnish spirit of sisu: resilience in the face of the unknown. This duo explores a duality of extremes: the frozen, silvered stillness of Pluto and the smouldering, red-gold warmth of Mars. A limited odyssey of 20 pieces per version, forged for those who embrace the silent gravity of the deep.
Sarpaneva Stardust - Two worlds. One orbit. No return.
Pluto and Mars signal the next chapter in Sarpaneva’s cosmic journey - a step beyond familiar paths and into deeper, more distant space.
Created by independent watchmaker Stepan Sarpaneva, these twin timepieces are shaped by sisu: resilience in the face of the unknown, and an uncompromising philosophy #notforeveryone.
Forged from stainless steel and housed in Sarpaneva’s unmistakable Korona case, Pluto and Mars share a common architecture yet speak in distinctly different voices. Their open-worked dials reveal depth and shadow, framed by futuristic, stencilled numerals that feel lifted from instruments built for interplanetary travel.
Cold orbit. Burning orbit.
Pluto embodies distance and stillness. Its silvered, matte base dial carries the quiet luminosity of frozen surfaces - a frost-like sheen that feels remote, restrained, and timeless. Light glides across the dial like ice under a pale sun, revealing subtle texture and depth.
Mars moves in contrast. Its red-gold plated, matte base dial radiates restrained heat - not flame, but smouldering warmth. The tone recalls oxidised metal and celestial dust, glowing softly beneath a veil of frost, as if warmth is present but fading, held in suspension.
Together, Pluto and Mars are not destinations, but states of orbit - pound by craft, contrast, and the silent gravity of the unknown.
