Sarpaneva x Moomin 80
For 80 years, Moomin has captured hearts with its stories of wonder, nature, and adventure. Now, Sarpaneva pays tribute to this cherished world with a timepiece that bridges art and horology—a watch where the landscapes of Tove Jansson’s imagination meet the masterful craftsmanship of Finnish watchmaking.
It was a dull red in the gathering darkness, and there, just above the treetops, something shone. A little red spark like a distant star. It didn’t move, but it seemed to flicker and burn as if it were very hot.
.....
Please hold my paw! I’m frightened!” Snorkmaiden said. “You mustn’t be,” comforted Moomintroll. “We know it won’t hit the earth for three days, and by that time we shall be home, and snug in the cave. Now we’ll eat your marvellous soup and then go to sleep.”
So the Snorkmaiden ladled out the soup, and when they had eaten they all curled up together on the mat which she had woven out of grass. The fire slowly died – but above the dark silent wood the comet shone red and ominous.

A Celestial Dance of Time
Imagine gazing into the night sky, where shooting stars carve their luminous paths through the darkness. Now, picture that same celestial wonder on your wrist. This extraordinary timepiece transforms the act of reading time into an experience—where artistry and mechanics unite in a mesmerizing dance.
At the heart of this masterpiece is a skeletonized steel shooting star aperture, gracefully positioned between 11 and 13 in ethereal way, reminiscent of the comet’s passage in Comet in Moominland. Like a guiding star, it reveals the hours with a rotating disc that glides along the periphery of the dial, creating an ever-changing cosmic display. Elegant stars mark the correct hour, ensuring effortless readability. Softly glowing Swiss Super-Luminova® elements bring the night sky to life, allowing the watch to whisper its tale even in darkness.
This watch isn’t just a timepiece—it’s a story written in the stars, a tribute to innovation, and an invitation to experience time in a way like never before… This is more than a timepiece—it’s a portal into a world of nostalgia, adventure, and quiet wonder.
