Oracle Time x Isotope Mercury Vitreous Green & Orange
Oracle Time x Isotope unveil the Mercury Vitreous Green & Orange – A bold exploration of enamel artistry in British watchmaking.
Limited to just 25 pieces per color, this collaboration celebrates the timeless beauty of Grand Feu enamel with a contemporary twist.
Watch news platform Oracle Time and British independent watchmaker Isotope proudly announce the launch of the Oracle Time x Isotope Mercury Vitreous Green and Orange. These two highly limited-edition timepieces showcase the brilliance of Grand Feu vitreous enamel in daring, modern tones.
A New Chapter in Accessible Métiers d’Art
For the past two years, Isotope has been on a mission to bring fine watchmaking artistry to an accessible price point. This includes marquetry, cloisonné, and now vitreous enamel. This collaboration takes that vision further, with enamel dials that combine centuries-old craftsmanship with a colorful and contemporary flair.
Enamel Legacy Reimagined
Enamel dial making has a rich history that dates to ancient Egypt, was refined in China, and was perfected by 17th-century artisans in Geneva. The Mercury Vitreous series continues this tradition by featuring Grand Feu enamel dials layered over textured silver leaf bases. This technique creates a luminous depth and vibrancy that is rarely seen at this level. Each dial undergoes multiple high-temperature firings, a meticulous process where even the smallest flaw can render a piece unusable. As a result, each surviving dial is truly a masterpiece.
Two Bold Interpretations
The Mercury Vitreous series is presented in Isotope’s refined 38mm Mercury case, tailored to highlight each enamel dial:
-
Vitreous Orange – A molten, volcanic enamel dial framed by a matte black DLC-coated steel case, paired with a matching black FKM rubber strap.
-
Vitreous Green – A fresh spearmint dial housed in a bead-blasted stainless-steel case, complemented by a soft grey FKM rubber strap.
Both versions feature minimalist, numeral-free dials, domed sapphire crystals with an antireflective coating, and an exhibition case back that reveals the Isotope I-7 caliber, a regulated hand-wound ETA Peseux 7001 with bespoke finishing.
