Mauron Musy Architect of Golden Cosmos & Golden Oasis
Following the immediate sell-out of the first Architect edition in 2025, Mauron Musy presents the final and definitive expression of this exclusive collaboration with Italian architect Arturo Tedeschi.
Architecture at its origins
Architect of Golden Oasis & Architect of Golden Cosmos explore architecture at its most fundamental level. Before style, before function, and even before construction itself. One looks to Earth and water as the conditions that made architecture possible. The other looks beyond it, to matter that existed long before humanity. Together, they form a single, final statement.
The language of structure
Both editions are driven by the same architectural principle : structure comes first. The architectural framework of the original Architect remains uncompromising. In this final release, that structure is confronted with two origins, Earth and Cosmos, allowing material to speak freely while geometry remains absolute. Architecture continues to define both function and aesthetics. Materials extend the expression without altering the form.
Two Origins, One Final Statement
Oasis & Cosmos
Two origins. One architectural language.
Architect of Golden Oasis & Architect of Golden Cosmos bring the Architect collection to its conclusion. Conceived from two origins: the one that gave us life, and the one that existed before it. Between Earth and Cosmos, the architectural language reaches its final expression.
Oasis: The Earthly Origin
A deep blue sunburst dial evokes water, horizon, and light in motion. Hand-cast 18K gold captures reflections like a living surface. The OASIS explores architecture at the moment where structure meets light, movement, and perception.
Cosmos: The Celestial Origin
Each dial is formed from a 4.5-billion-year-old meteorite, whose crystalline structure was shaped over millions of years in space. No two dials are alike. Sandblasted textures recall raw concrete, expressing architecture in its most elemental form, where matter precedes design.
I wanted to confront geometric forms with materials that precede architecture itself, on Earth and beyond. OASIS and COSMOS arise from opposite origins, yet they speak the same architectural language: structure. ” — Arturo Tedeschi
I dreamed of becoming an architect. Watchmaking became my path. With Arturo, I finally got to do both. ” — Christophe Musy
Gold as evidence on both editions, 18K gold is cast, not applied.
The process begins with an algorithm defining the form, followed by additive manufacturing to craft the mold. Molten gold is then poured, shaped, and solidified, like a gold bar taking form. The surface is sandblasted to achieve a uniform, architectural texture.
How this collaboration came about?
Christophe Musy dreamed of becoming an architect. He became a watchmaker, translating that vision into horology.
Arturo Tedeschi is an architect driven by constant curiosity and a deep commitment to sharing knowledge. Through algorithms, research, and the publication of several books, he approaches architecture as a field of discovery, revealing forms and modes of thinking that extend beyond human intuition.
They met organically. They recognized a shared way of thinking. They became friends. They built a watch.
Form emerges through Tedeschi’s algorithmic thinking. Watchmaking responds through material and craftsmanship. Architecture leads; craft gives it life.
There was no plan behind this project. We did not start with a brief. We simply recognized the same way of thinking and began with a conversation. As we discovered each other’s work and exchanged ideas, we realized we were asking the same questions, just in different fields. ” — Christophe Musy
The mechanical foundation: Caliber MM01
While the dialogue between form and matter defines the visible expression of the Architect, its legitimacy is rooted elsewhere, within its mechanical foundation.
At the heart beats the MM01 caliber. Introduced in 2019, it marked a decisive shift for the manufacture, an architectural movement designed, manufactured, and assembled entirely in Switzerland.
- 167 components
- 55-hour power reserve
- Open architecture, fully visible
- No decoration to hide mechanics. Structure exposed.
The final chapter
The Architect of Golden Oasis and Architect of Golden Cosmos are released in a strictly limited edition of 37 pieces worldwide.
This is not a collection designed to grow. It is a closed narrative. A deliberate choice to stop rather than to repeat.
