Louis Moinet Memoris Diamonds

The famous Memoris chronograph, an iconic timepiece, has now been launched in two new limited editions of 12 pieces each. They come in the original case, either in 18-carat red gold or grade 5 titanium, and feature a bezel set with 60 diamonds that enhances its very assertive look.

The focus of this timepiece is the white glittered dial with twelve blue sapphires marking the hours. This hue is carried through to the flange, the mainplate and the two blued screws of the chronograph bridge, before flowing naturally down to the strap.

The dialogue between diamonds and sapphires illuminates the three-dimensional architecture of the timepiece and boldly affirms the complexity of its construction.

Original | Rediscovery of a distinctive case

With its 46-millimetre diameter, the Original case has become a great classic, most notably for having been the first to house the famous Memoris chronograph.

It is distinguished by a rich and complex design. Crafted in grade 5 titanium or 18-carat red gold, it unites technical refinement, character and elegance. Each of its parts has been carefully highlighted thanks to the alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces. Chief among these details is the stepped bezel, secured by six screws and now set with 60 VVS-quality diamonds totalling 0.90 carats. Its clean, assertive lines contrast with the softness of the curved middle case, whose brushed flanks bear the prestigious signature of the great watchmaker.

At two o’clock, the single pusher is adorned with the traditional clous-de-Paris pattern. Another characteristic element is the interchangeable tube-crown protection system, comprising an independent stem integrated inside a waterresistant mechanism. The whole is secured by a plate mounted to the case with four screws.

The lugs are adorned with black spinels delicately set in screw-mounted chatons. These technical and aesthetic details all contribute to the unique character of the Original case.

The Memoris chronograph | A mechanical spectacle

The Memoris timepieces reveal the entire chronograph mechanism on the dial side. This arrangement allows the intricacy of the mechanism to be admired with every interaction: start, stop, reset. More than 500 components were engineered and crafted for this exceptional timepiece.

The Memoris is a thrill to watch: activating the single pusher sets in motion a unique mechanical choreography. The levers, clutch, hammers, column wheel, springs and wheels all move in harmony to set the chronograph in motion and measure time.
