Jacob & Co. Astronomia Revolution Four-Axis Tourbillon
To mark the 10th anniversary of the groundbreaking Astronomia collection, Jacob & Co. is taking watchmaking into uncharted territory with the Astronomia Revolution Four-Axis Tourbillon - the first of its kind, pushing the limits of engineering, precision, and artistry.
The revolutionary Four-Axis Tourbillon features an extraordinary high-speed, four-axis tourbillon, with each axis rotating 60 seconds, 18 seconds, 15 seconds, and 60 seconds, respectively. The triple-axis flying tourbillon is positioned at the top of the rotating carousel, completing a full revolution in just 60 seconds. A high-frequency constant force mechanism ensures smooth, precise motion, embodying the kind of technical innovation that pushes the boundaries of traditional watchmaking.
Encased in 47mm of 18K rose gold and sapphire, the Astronomia Revolution Four-Axis Tourbillon is just as much a piece of art as it is a mechanical marvel. Its mirror-polished gold-plated backplate features a striking geometrics mosaic, each piece meticulously crafted and positioned in a way that catches and reflects the light. Unlike traditional gem settings, these rose gold volumes are placed in an unexpected inverted layout, creating a dynamic, light-catching effect.
From sapphire cases to sculptural designs featuring mythical creatures, Jacob & Co.’s Astronomia collection has continuously pushed the boundaries of haute horology for the past decade. The original Astronomia Tourbillon, introduced in 2015, set the stage with a 20-minute full movement rotation, and later accelerated to 10 minutes, and then in 2023, just 60 seconds with the Astronomia Revolution.
Now, in 2025, Jacob & Co. has reached a new milestone with the Astronomia Revolution Fourth Dimension. By introducing a fourth axis to the tourbillon, the brand has once again rewritten the rules of high watchmaking, proving that Jacob & Co. continues to execute at the highest level.
Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Astronomia is a major milestone in the history of Jacob & Co. Just as the Five Time Zone put us on the watchmaking map in 2002, the arrival of the Astronomia in 2015 elevated us to the innovative fringe of high watchmaking, exemplifying what it truly means to be ‘Inspired by the Impossible’, our company slogan. It was the first of its kind, showing a new way to be creative, utilize different case designs and technologies. It set us on an endlessly upward trajectory, reaching for the unreachable,” said Jacob Arabo, Chairman and Founder of Jacob & Co.
The Astronomia Revolution is a bold statement about what’s possible in haute horology, telling a story of discovery, exploration, and the pursuit of extraordinary watchmaking.
