To celebrate the 75th anniversary of Seddiqi & Sons, the leading curator of fine timepieces in the Middle East, ID Genève presents MorphoDune 75th, a limited-edition watch that unites Swiss watchmaking precision with the timeless poetry of the Arabian desert. Limited to just 20 numbered pieces, this unique edition embodies shared values of creative excellence, heritage, and sustainability.

Capturing the Desert’s Living Art

The design evokes the fluid movement of dunes shaped by the desert wind, blending nature’s grace with cutting-edge nanotechnology. Developed with Morphotonix™, a Swiss start-up pioneering nanoprinting technology, the MorphoDune transforms microscopic optical engineering into art. Known for their patented ink-free process used to secure Swiss banknotes and passports, Morphotonix™ brings its expertise in nano-engraving to watchmaking for the first time. Using light alone, the company imprints intricate holographic structures directly into the metal dial, creating natural iridescence without pigments or coatings. The result is a richly textured surface that shifts with each movement — a living reflection of the desert under the sun.

The Dial: Light, Texture, Emotion

Crafted at the nanoscale, the dial features undulating motifs inspired by desert waves, subtly interlaced with geometric patterns that echo Arabic art. Depending on the angle, metallic tones reveal a spectrum of rainbow reflections that recall sand’s natural luminosity. Arabic numerals emerge in relief, softly illuminated by luminescent SLN highlights that evoke the night sky above the dunes.

The Case and Bracelet: Sculpted Movement

The 37 mm case, made of 100% reprocessed 316L stainless steel, strikes a balance between strength, elegance, and sustainability. At just 8.8 mm thick, it sits gracefully on the wrist. The integrated steel bracelet, entirely handmade in Le Locle, plays with light through semielliptical links that evoke rolling waves of sand.

A delicate touch of spiritual blue — a color deeply rooted in Arabic culture — discreetly accents the piece, symbolizing peace and protection. It is a respectful nod to cultural heritage, bridging tradition and modernity.
