Cyrus Genève unveils an exquisite new creation: the Dominion Jawhar, a bespoke Middle Eastern edition limited to 28 pieces. Designed by master watchmaker Jean-François Mojon, this exclusive timepiece reinterprets the bold spirit of the Dominion collection, showcasing distinctive and unconventional architecture, a cutting-edge movement, and the finest finishes for which the Swiss Maison is renowned.

The Jawhar edition, from the Dominion collection, celebrates the intrinsic mastery and refinement of this creation. Designed for true connoisseurs of Haute Horlogerie, the name Jawhar means “essence” in Arabic. Every high-end watch has a soul and a precious essence. Dominion Jawhar embodies this hidden refinement: time is shaped with precision, polished by the reflections of light, and revealed in its purest splendour. It is a work of art, a symbol of rarity and distinction.

The Dominion Jawhar will make its official debut at the seventh edition of Dubai Watch Week, taking place from November 19th to 23rd, 2025, at Dubai Mall, Burj Park —a prestigious stage where Cyrus Genève will present its latest novelties to collectors and watch enthusiasts from around the world.

The 3D dial's captivating design

The multi-layered and openworked dial of the Dominion Jawhar is an ode to meticulous craftsmanship and cultural elegance.

At its core lies a mainplate with 5N red gold galvanic treatment, radiating warmth and sophistication. Above it stands the palm-shaped upper bridge, which has a black galvanic treatment and brushed and sandblasted finishes. Its shiny edges capture the light from every angle.

The time is displayed via indices in Arabic script on a transparent sapphire crystal disc, which glow blue in the dark thanks to their SuperLumiNova® coating. The white lacquered 24-hour GMT ring features grey outlines and shiny black hour markers in Arabic characters.

The minutes on the flange and the small seconds indication are also displayed in shiny black against a white background. At 6 o'clock, the distinctive triangular motif on a grey surface, a hallmark of Cyrus Genève, adds visual depth, complemented by the black seconds hand that echoes the shape of the Maison's logo.

The ensemble achieves a perfect harmony between modern architecture and cutting-edge watchmaking precision. Every line and proportion reflect a shared pursuit of structural clarity and technical mastery, where form and function merge into a single, timeless expression of contemporary craftsmanship.

The case: comfort and distinction

The 42mm round case, crafted from grade 5 titanium with alternating polished and satin finishes, reveals a unique profile. Its elongated lugs, designed with a distinctive insert, seamlessly integrate the two functional crowns and highlight the structural sophistication of the case middle.

Water-resistant to 10 ATM, the case features a double anti-reflective sapphire crystal protecting both the dial and the movement. The back bears the engravings “Movement by J.F. Mojon”, water resistance details, and the inscription “1 of 28”.

A black alligator leather strap, secured by a titanium pin buckle, completes the Dominion Jawhar. Its design mirrors the case’s refined geometry and bears the engraved signature of Cyrus Genève.

Designed for optimal comfort, the watch sits gracefully on the wrist, while its elegant presence makes a powerful statement.

The in-house manufactured calibre CYR708: power and precision

At the heart of the Dominion Jawhar beats the self-winding CYR708 calibre, developed by Jean-François Mojon and produced in our manufacture in Le Locle, Switzerland.

This in-house movement, composed of 278 components, features a variable-inertia balance wheel oscillating at 28.800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and provides a 55-hour power reserve.

Through the sapphire crystal case back, one can admire the finely decorated movement: bridges with NAC treatment, embellished with embossed rays alternating brushed and microbeaded finishes, and bevelled edges reflecting light at every angle. The openworked, 5N red gold-plated oscillating weight bearing the Maison's distinctive rhodium-plated helix logo is engraved with the motto “The Conquest of Innovation”, which symbolises Cyrus Genève's unwavering commitment to excellence.
