First launched during the 1960s golden age of scuba diving, the Benrus Ultra-Deep makes its long-awaited return back by popular demand. Revered by vintage watch collectors and diving enthusiasts alike, the Ultra-Deep stands as one of the most distinctive and best-loved models in the Benrus archive.

This reissue is not part of the brand’s 2025 collection, but a special reintroduction of a historic reference brought back due to overwhelming community demand. True to its origins, the watch preserves the spirit of mid-century underwater exploration while subtly integrating contemporary engineering for modern reliability.

From the 1960s diving era

The revived Ultra-Deep retains its iconic twin-crown case, inspired by the original Supercompressor design ; a hallmark of vintage dive watches known for their elegant yet purposeful construction. At a compact and versatile 36.5mm, the new edition remains faithful to its original proportions while introducing a modern screw-down crown system that ensures an impressive 20 ATM (660 feet) of water resistance. 

The black dial flows seamlessly into a 60-minute internal rotating bezel, operated via the second crown. Extending from edge to edge, the bezel enhances readability and creates the illusion of a larger wrist presence, all while maintaining vintage authenticity.

Heritage design, modern craftsmanship

Every detail of the Ultra-Deep has been carefully reinterpreted to preserve its character — from the cathedral-style hour and minute hands to the acrylic double-domed crystal featuring an internal date magnification window. The watch is illuminated by C3 Super-LumiNova on the dial markers, hands, and bezel, ensuring optimal visibility even in low-light conditions.

Inside beats the Swiss Soprod P024 automatic movement, offering a 38-hour power reserve and a quick-set date function. This combination of heritage design and Swiss precision ensures that the Ultra-Deep remains as reliable as it is timeless.

Versatility above and below the surface

The Ultra-Deep is delivered on a stainless steel Jubilee-style bracelet with a quick-release system, offering a refined look suitable for daily wear. For more casual or aquatic settings, the timepiece includes a complimentary blue nylon NATO dive strap, adding both versatility and comfort.
