ArtyA unveils its first Central Tourbillon: A Trilogy of unique pieces in tinted sapphire, combining boldness and innovation.

The Purity collection welcomes a new in-house tourbillon movement, now featuring automatic winding for the first time.

This exclusive trio of unique pieces stands out with its elegant colored sapphire dials, each one showcasing the art of refined watchmaking.

Already impressive with its 18 mm diameter in the earlier Purity calibers, the tourbillon has been expanded to a commanding 20 mm, making a bold, majestic statement at the heart of the dial.

The development of this new movement marks a significant milestone for the Purity collection. After five ‘Skeleton’ calibers with their signature airy, floating architecture, this new engine introduces a completely different concept. The previously off-center tourbillon now takes center stage, framed by a sapphire dial and peripheral indicators. ArtyA’s iconic skeletonization gives way to a more imposing tourbillon architecture, showcasing the brand’s first automatic central tourbillon movement.

The ‘Purity Central Tourbillon Blue’ has already been recognized in the prestigious ‘Men’s Complications’ category for the upcoming Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève, which will take place this November.

Selected by the GPHG Academy members (nearly 1,000 industry professionals) from numerous submissions, the ‘Purity Central Tourbillon Blue,’ distinguished for both its technical prowess and unique aesthetics, is among the top six complicated watches nominated for this year’s awards.

This recognition from industry peers celebrates the boldness and creativity behind the conception of this exceptional timepiece – it also marks the Geneva brand’s fifth nomination at the GPHG.

Purity Central Tourbillon Caliber

This new in-house movement elevates the art of watchmaking, orchestrating a mechanical ballet where the crystalline transparency of sapphire blends with vibrant colors, giving each piece a unique character.

By repositioning the tourbillon at the center of the dial, this caliber embodies the essence of horological mastery, defying gravity to achieve unparalleled precision. Operating at a rare 4 Hz frequency for a tourbillon (28,800 vibrations per hour), it ensures exceptional accuracy while performing a captivating kinetic dance.

The caliber’s high operating frequency is made possible by twin barrels working in tandem to provide the necessary torque for ensuring a 60-hour power reserve – a true engineering feat, as driving such a large tourbillon at this frequency is naturally much more challenging.

No Central Hands

This is also the manufacture’s first automatic central tourbillon movement. In a bold move, the central hands have been deliberately omitted, allowing the tourbillon to take center stage. The hours and minutes are instead elegantly indicated by two peripheral markers, offering a subtle and refined reading of the time.

Domed Sapphire Case

This domed sapphire case embodies an audacious and avant-garde vision of watch design. Specifically crafted to house this central tourbillon caliber, it stands out in the way it offers a crisp, spectacular 360-degree panoramic view of the mechanism, evoking an impression of ethereal lightness. Its finely sculpted dome shape highlights the mesmerizing dance of the central tourbillon, while the inherent properties of sapphire glass ensure exceptional scratch resistance.

Sapphire Dial

Crafted from genuine colored sapphire crystal, each dial features an engraved hour track illuminated with Super-LumiNova®. Available in either striking salmon, emerald green, or royal blue sapphire crystal, these vibrant dials infuse each watch with its own distinctive burst of color, adding a refined and captivating dimension to the overall design.
