Limited to just 100 pieces, this exclusive timepiece reimagines the Averau 39 Moon Phase with a refined, minimalistic aesthetic and a novel approach to luminescence.

A Nocturnal Interpretation of the Averau 39 Moon Phase

Building on the strong foundation of the original Averau 39 Moon Phase, the Noctilum edition embraces a pared-back design philosophy, focusing on clarity, legibility, and modern craftsmanship. It introduces an innovative application of Superluminova elements, ensuring striking visibility in low-light conditions. The luminous treatment highlights key design aspects of the dial while maintaining the signature elegance of echo/neutra’s field-watch aesthetic.

What Sets This Edition Apart

The Averau 39 Moon Phase Noctilum builds upon the foundation of the standard model while introducing unique refinements. Retaining its signature double moon phase indication at the 6 o’clock sub-dial, the watch continues to display the moon phases for both the Northern and Southern hemispheres.

In this special edition, the Arabic numerals at the base of the hour markers (01, 02, etc.) have been removed, allowing for a cleaner, more refined dial aesthetic. The hour markers at the cardinal points (12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock) now feature an inverted luminous design, where the outer rim is luminescent while the inner portion is blacked-out. This same treatment extends to the hands, ensuring optimal readability in low-light conditions. Unlike the standard production model, the seconds hand is also fully lumed, offering an added layer of visibility. Additionally, the moon phase disc has been reimagined with generous lume application, moving away from the photorealistic depiction of the moon in favor of a more minimalistic, modern interpretation.

The collaboration between Ace Jewelers and echo/neutra was born from a keen eye for independent watchmaking. Dale, a long-time team member at Ace and now a freelance agent, discovered echo/neutra while exploring the depths of the Instagram watch world. The brand's watches immediately stood out for their seamless blend of timeless design, characterful details, and outstanding value. The Averau Moon Phase, in particular, caught his attention—offering a unique combination of classic military watch aesthetics with a moon phase complication, making it an ideal companion for outdoor adventures. Intrigued by the brand’s vision, Dale shared his discovery with Ace Jewelers’ CEO, Alon Ben Joseph.

Recognizing the potential, Alon and Dale arranged a call with the echo/neutra team, and from that very first conversation, a strong mutual appreciation and friendship developed. The natural synergy between the two brands led to the idea of a collaboration. Together, they envisioned a special limited edition based on the model that first captured the attention of the Ace team, blending echo/neutra’s design philosophy with Ace’s distinct creative touch.
