Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Olivier Mosset TimeForArt
Louis Erard proudly announces its participation in the Phillips TimeForArt auction in New York on December 10, unveiling a one-of-a-kind timepiece that redefines the boundaries of watchmaking and contemporary art.
A Collaboration of Watchmaking and Art
This extraordinary creation is the result of an exclusive collaboration with Olivier Mosset, the renowned Swiss artist celebrated for his radical and minimalist approach to abstract art. Inspired by Mosset’s "Untitled" installation at MAMO Centre d’art de la Cité Radieuse, the watch is a pure artistic statement.
The dial, free from logos or text, is a tone-on-tone blue masterpiece that shifts from blue to violet under changing light, echoing Mosset’s iconic visual language. Its baton-style hands—identical in length, width, and rounded ends—add an intriguing element of uniformity, with their directional purpose subtly indicated by the size of the central hole.
A Watch as a Work of Art
More than a watch, this piece is a work of art, as emphasized by the red seal engraved with "work of art – do not wear." Delivered with two interchangeable straps, including one signed by the artist, this timepiece stands as a testament to Louis Erard’s commitment to artistic innovation and craftsmanship.
